It is a civilization found on Islam, and the Arabic language, and the civilizations of previous peoples, since it was the Islamic thought that found and built them, and it is a human civilization that includes the various aspects of life, and it is also a divine civilization that goes back to the knowledge that the Messenger - may God bless him and grant him peace - came with, all within the framework of the Arabic language. 

 The basis of the Islamic civilization is monotheism, the intellect, knowledge, work, the soul, populating, cultivating and constructing the earth, respect for the mind and honor towards man.

The Islamic civilization benefited from the various previous civilizations in its establishment (Greek, Roman, Persian, and Indian), and it exceled them, raising the status of consultation, justice, equality, freedom, and various human rights.

It can be said that the Islamic civilization is a civilization that resulted from the interaction of a group of cultures specific to the peoples that converted the religion of Islam, and it is also a summary of the interaction of civilizations in the areas that Islam reached during the Islamic conquests.

Islamic civilization is considered  a legacy shared by all peoples and nations that joined it and contributed to its construction and prosperity, it is not a civilization confined to a specific race or main peoples, but rather an inclusive civilization for all races that had a contribution to building it.

The concept of the Islamic civilization

Islamic civilization includes in its concept two types, the first of which is the authentic Islamic civilization, which is the civilization of creativity for which the Islamic religion is the only source and upstream.

the second is the civilization of resurrection and revival; Because it resulted from the application of Muslims to various experimental matters, as what is meant by Islamic civilization is the group of efforts made by Muslim scholar.

And it led to the production of successful theories in technology and science at the world level, and Islamic civilization dominated the field of science from the third century AH until the fifth century AH.

 Islamic civilization also included various material and moral aspects, and devoted itself to facilitating progress and development, it was even said in it that there is no civilization in existence that has provided humanity with what the Islamic civilization has provided.

 Equality is a basic slogan among other slogans that he calls for, and equality in rights and duties must be achieved among all people, regardless of their beliefs, colors and races, and under Islam there is no difference between the ruler and the arbitrator, and there is no difference between one class in society and another class, and everyone is equal before God Almighty.

Constancy

 Islam is distinguished by its firm legislations, this is because it is divinely sourced, as for human legislation, it changes and is modified due to the control of passion over it, and the lack of people’s knowledge of what fixes  and spoils their conditions, God Almighty knows best about His creation, and what corrupts and reforms them.

Balance between the public interest and the private interest

Islam balances the public and private interests, and gives priority to the interest of the group over the interest of the individual, by following the basis of balance and cooperation in all matters.

Mercy

Islam is a religion of mercy, and the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was sent as a mercy to the worlds, and the provisions and rituals of Islam inspire mercy in the hearts of Muslims.

Peace

Islam is a religion of peace, and only an ignorant or a hater can contradict it, the name Islam is derived from peace, and whoever believes in the religion of Islam is called a Muslim, and the truth of the Islamic religion is based on submission to the Lord of the Worlds in all respects and aspects.

Characteristics of Islamic civilization

Islamic civilization is distinguished from other civilizations by a set of characteristics and attributes 

revelation

Among the most important of them is a civilization whose source is revelation: that is, it relies on belief in God Almighty and complete and absolute monotheism, so it gives the various systems in life a monotheistic character based on unity in servitude, lordship, legislation, and looking at the universe and the human being who lives in it.

 Human civilization

Human civilization: it honors and serves man, aims at progress and advancement in all aspects of life, and includes different races without distinguishing between them, and gives them equal opportunities in life.

Ethical civilization

It is a civilization that does not tamper with human values byIII adopting the name of relativism.

 Rather, people are equal under its banner without submitting to double standards, and that moral values are the ones that govern and regulate them, including justice, honesty, fulfillment of promises, and other  values that the Messenger urged. The Holy Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.

A rational and scientific civilization:

It is a civilization that urges worship through contemplation, thinking, and the realization of the mind, just as the mind agrees with revelation, science, and religion, and neither contradicts or clashes with each other.

tolerance

no civilization appeared before that was characterized by tolerance as was the Islamic civilization, especially tolerance between religions. Where Islamic civilization coexisted with other religions.

The civilization of justice, equality and mercy

because it depends on the integration of the material side and the moral one, and all individuals in Islamic civilization are equal before God’s law, as it balances between man and woman, between reason and revelation, between the individual and society, and between religion and the world, so there is no clash between them, and it is   a civilization based on integration.

A vital civilization

that is, it rejects the despair of life, and seeks to achieve happiness in this world and the hereafter, and calls for the reconstruction of the earth in the name of God Almighty.

A comprehensive civilization

rulings include this world, the hereafter, and the entire universe, not just humans. It is also a civilization that interacts with other civilizations and beliefs. As it transferred many arts and sciences to parts of Europe, and it benefited from and benefited from other civilizations.

A civilization that takes into account the customs of society

But these customs and traditions must not contradict religion and Sharia. A civilization that understands the value of time: 

The Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, urged attention to the value of time and time, a person will be asked about his life in what he spent it, his knowledge in what he did with it, his money, how he earned it and how he spent it, and his body in what he wore it out. a civilization valid for every time and place: it is not limited to a specific region or a specific group of people.
